The Guardians have disappeared and the United Planets has taken control of the Green Lantern Corps and have declared Sector 2814 as unsafe and reassigned Earth's Green Lanterns to other sectors. Upset by this, Hal Jordan resigns from the Corps and returns to Earth, where he tries to resume his old life, first by seeking out Carol. But he soon discovers a new threat on Earth.
John Stewart reunites with his mother on Earth, while in another universe and time, Green Lanterns battle against the Revenant Queen who is searching for John.
