While continuing to serve his sentence, Bruce Wayne helps rescue Jason Todd from a prison riot. Bruce and Jason have a heart-to-heart discussion about their past together and their eventual split. Bruce learns that while in prison, Derek Powers assumed control of Wayne Enterprises and used it to fund weapons for the GTO. Meanwhile, Powers has Terry McGinnis steal an experimental bat-suit from the ruins of the Batcave.
Bruce escapes from prison to track down the experimental Bat-suit stolen by Terry McGinnis for Derek Powers, but is haunted by Jack Napier who appears only to Bruce to give him advice. Meanwhile, Dick leads the GTO in an effort to re-capture Bruce.
