Bookstore owner Claire Connell reads her son, Tommy, the final Adventureman pulp novel, which ends on a cliffhanger as Adventureman and his crew fight Baroness Bizarre and her henchpeople. Adventureman's assistant Phaedra Phantom then appears in reality and leaves a copy of an unpublished Adventureman guide at Claire's store.
